Uploaded This story was written a long time ago in 1868. Many of the ideas in this book did not seem possible to those who read it then.
Uploaded We are in warmer waters now. But we are going in circles. Is Captain Nemo looking for something?
Uploaded Two men dive into the water. A few minutes later the large window in the submarine opens.
Uploaded I can see an old ship that has sunk in the water. It is broken and has shells on it. It has been here a long time.
Uploaded Captain Nemo says it is a French ship called Revenge. It was in a battle a long time ago. It was sunk by it’s enemy.
Uploaded I think about Captain Nemo. He wants revenge. He is mad at people who did bad things in the past. He wants to hurt them.
Uploaded We see a ship far away. It gets closer. It is a war ship. It starts firing at us!
Uploaded Ned wants to leave the Nautilus. He waves at the ship. Captain Nemo knocks him to the ground. He is very mad!
Uploaded The ship shoots at us. Captain Nemo tells everyone to go below. I ask him if he will attack the ship.
Uploaded Captain Nemo tells me he will sink the ship.
Uploaded I talk to Captain Nemo. I tell him to leave the ship alone. The Captain says that he is the law. He tells me to be quiet.
Uploaded I run to Conseil and Ned. I tell them we need to escape. We need a plan. We need to leave the Nautilus soon.
Uploaded The next morning the Nautilus goes under water. Captain Nemo attacks the other ship. It sinks.
Uploaded That night we plan our escape. Ned uses a tool to get the lifeboat loose so we can use it to get away.
Uploaded The crew is yelling. We think they are yelling at us. They see a huge wave and windstorm coming at us. They are afraid.
Uploaded The wind and waves are very, very bad! The little boat goes up and hits me on the head. That is all I remember.
Uploaded I wake up in a fishing cabin. Conseil and Ned are with me. We are waiting to take a boat back to France.
Uploaded I am writing a book about our adventures. We have been 20,000 leagues under the sea in ten months. Will anyone believe this?
Uploaded What happened to Captain Nemo and the Nautilus? I hope he is still exploring. I hope he stops hurting others for revenge.
