 Uploaded This story is about four sisters who lived a long time ago. Their names are Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy
 Uploaded Meg and John Brooke get married. The family celebrates. They will live in a little house down the street.
 Uploaded Amy likes art. She likes to draw and paint. She still worries about what people think about her.
 Uploaded Amy wants to invite friends to lunch. Her mom thinks it will cost a lot of money for the food. Amy tells her she will pay.
 Uploaded Amy worries about what people think about her. She wants to have a fancy lunch with expensive food.
 Uploaded She thinks if she has expensive food her friends will like her better.
 Uploaded Jo helps Amy write invitations. They send these to her friends to tell them what time the party will be and where they live.
 Uploaded The food Amy wants to buy is very expensive! It costs a lot of money that the family doesn't have to spend.
 Uploaded She wants lobster. Lobsters have a hard shell. You crack open the shell to eat the meat inside. Lobsters cost a lot of money.
 Uploaded The day of the party is here. Amy serves fancy food. But only one of her friends comes! Amy is sad but she still has fun.
 Uploaded Jo finds out a newspaper will pay people to write stories. They like stories about mystery and adventures.
 Uploaded Jo writes a new story. She sends it to the paper to see if they will pay her. She waits and waits to find out.
 Uploaded Jo gets money in the mail! The newspaper printed her story in the paper. She helps her family with the money. She writes more.
 Uploaded Jo wants to help Beth. She is still sick. Jo pays for Beth and their mom to go to the ocean to rest.
 Uploaded Meg and her husband John live in a little house down the street. Meg is learning how to cook.
 Uploaded One day she makes jelly. It is a disaster! On the same day John brings a friend home for dinner. Meg is embarrassed!
 Uploaded Meg makes her own clothes. She wants a fancy dress like her friends. She spends a lot of money on special silk fabric.
 Uploaded John did not like that. They argue because she spent too much money. Now John can't buy a winter coat!
 Uploaded Meg feels bad. She asks her friend Sallie to buy the fabric. Meg uses the money to buy John a new coat.
 Uploaded Soon Meg and John become parents! They have twin babies. One is a girl, Daisy, and a boy, Demi. Everyone is very happy!
 Uploaded Amy was asked to help at an art fair. She helps set up tables. She brings things that she has made to sell.
 Uploaded Amy tries to sell flowers. No one wants them. She wishes she could sell art instead. She takes some of her art home.
 Uploaded The next day Amy feels bad. She gives back the art pieces that she had taken. Aunt March sees that Amy made a good choice.
 Uploaded Aunt March invites Amy to go on a long trip. They will go to Europe. Amy will study art.
 Uploaded Jo was mad at first. She wants to go on the trip. But she knows that Amy will be a better helper for Aunt March.
