 Uploaded The girls get a letter from Laurie. He has invited them to a picnic. They are excited!
 Uploaded The picnic is fun. They make new friends and play games.
 Uploaded Laurie has a teacher named Mr. Brooke. He teaches Laurie at home. He is at the picnic.
 Uploaded Laurie’s grandfather wants him to go to college and work in his business. Laurie wants to do other things.
 Uploaded Jo has finished writing her book. She wants to see if someone will print it for others to read.
 Uploaded She goes to town. Jo takes her stories to a newspaper office. She hopes they print them.
 Uploaded Laurie saw Jo standing on the street. She told him her secret. She wants the newspaper to print her stories.
 Uploaded Jo waits for the mail every day. She hopes to hear something from the newspaper. Will they print her story?
 Uploaded Then one day the newspaper comes. Jo‘s story has been printed in the newspaper! Everyone is so excited.
 Uploaded One day they get a letter. It tells them that their dad is very sick and in the hospital far away.
 Uploaded Mrs. March leaves the next morning to go help him. Mr. Brooke, Laurie’s teacher, will go with her to help.
 Uploaded Mrs. March will need money for the trip. The family does not have any extra money. Jo wants to help.
 Uploaded Jo cut her long hair and sold it for $25.00. Someone will use her hair to make a wig.
 Uploaded The family is surprised! During the time in this story girls always had long hair. Joe looks very different now.
