 Uploaded This story is about four sisters who lived a long time ago. Their names are Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy.
 Uploaded Laurie spends more time with the March girls. His grandpa sees that he is not lonely anymore.
 Uploaded Mr. Laurence tells Mrs. March that her daughters can play the piano at his house.
 Uploaded Beth goes to his house often to play the piano. Mr. Laurence gives her a piano of her own!
 Uploaded Amy wants money. Girls bring limes to school for a treat. She wants to take limes to share.
 Uploaded Meg gives Amy a quarter. She buys limes to take to school. But she is in trouble! The teacher smacks her hand with a yardstick.
 Uploaded Marmee writes a note to the teacher. Amy was wrong to take limes to school but the teacher should not have hit her.
 Uploaded Amy will not go to school. She will learn at home. Her mother told Jo to be in charge of her lessons.
 Uploaded Meg and Jo get dressed up in their best clothes. Laurie is taking them to see a play.
 Uploaded Amy is sad. She wants to go. Amy tells Jo that she will be sorry! Jo laughs.
 Uploaded The next day Jo can’t find her notebook with the story she has been writing. Amy threw it in the fire!
 Uploaded Jo is very, very, mad! She has worked for years on those stories. Amy apologies but Jo will not accept it.
 Uploaded Jo and Laurie go ice skating. Amy follows them but they don’t see her.
 Uploaded Some of the ice is melting. Amy follows Jo and Laurie. She falls through the ice. She is in trouble!
 Uploaded They save Amy. They take her home. Marmee wraps her up in a blanket. Jo is worried. Amy will be OK.
 Uploaded Mrs. March warns Jo about her temper. She tells her daughter she needs to learn to control her temper.
 Uploaded Meg is packing for a trip. She is going to the city for a party. She will stay 2 weeks with friends.
 Uploaded Meg’s friends have very fancy dresses. Her dress is plain. She wants a fancy dress.
 Uploaded Laurie is at the party. He sends some special flowers to Meg. She keeps some for herself and shares with her friends.
 Uploaded A friend lets Meg borrow a fancy dress. People who did not talk to her before now talk to her. Some people laugh at her.
 Uploaded Meg does not act like herself. She is being like a different person. She asks Laurie not to tell her family.
 Uploaded Marmee tells the girls she wants them to grow up to be happy and good. She doesn’t care if they marry or if they are rich.
 Uploaded The girls have a club. Each one writes something for their newspaper. Jo wants Laurie to be in the club. They vote on it.
 Uploaded Laurie wants to be in their club. He puts up a special mailbox between their houses. They leave letters here.
