 Uploaded This story is called Holes. The boys in the story have to dig holes.
 Uploaded Zero was mad. He was tired of digging holes. He ran away.
 Uploaded The Warden tells Mr. P. to throw away any paper that had Zero’s name on it. No one will know that Zero was ever here.
 Uploaded Stanley thinks about Zero. What will he drink? How will he make it in the desert alone?
 Uploaded The next day Stanley jumps in Mr. Sir’s truck! He is going to find Zero! Everyone is surprised.
 Uploaded Oh no! Stanley drives the truck into a hole! He gets out and runs away. The others watch him go.
 Uploaded It is hot. Stanley keeps walking. He does not have any water. Stanley keeps walking.
 Uploaded Stanley keeps looking for Zero. Where is he? Is that a lake in front of him?
 Uploaded It is not a lake. It is a boat. The boat is upside down. Stanley hears a noise.
 Uploaded It is Zero! Zero is hiding under the boat. It is cool under the boat. Zero found something too.
 Uploaded Stanley is so happy! Zero is safe! Zero shows Stanley what he found in the boat. He found jars.
 Uploaded Zero calls is Sploosh. It tastes like peaches. There was a lot of it under the old boat.
 Uploaded They see mountains. Stanley and Zero decide to go up to the mountain. Maybe there will be water.
 Uploaded Zero is sick. Stanley carries him up the mountain.
 Uploaded As they go up the mountain Stanley sees bugs. He sees weeds. That means there must be water. Where is the water?
 Uploaded Stanley steps in mud. It takes water to make mud! He digs until he finds water they can drink.
 Uploaded Stanley finds onions growing in the mud. Stanley and Zero drink water and eat onions.
 Uploaded Zero feels better. He tells Stanley that he took those shoes that got Stanley into trouble.
