 Uploaded Stanley will help Zero learn how to read. It is a secret! Mr. Sir would not like it.

 Uploaded Before Stanley goes to sleep that night he remembers the gold tube. He thinks and thinks. What is it?

 Uploaded A long time ago Camp Green Lake was beautiful. It was not a desert. It had a lake.

 Flickr Kate made special spiced peaches. She gave them to friends and people who helped her.
 Uploaded A man in town named Sam sold onions. He said they could make people very healthy.
 Uploaded Sam helped fix the school house for Kate. Kate give him some of her spiced peaches.
 Uploaded One day some bad men set the school on fire. They hurt Sam and Kate was scared.
 Uploaded After that day it never rained in the town. Green Lake dried up. There was no more water.
 Uploaded Kate was mad. She became a bandit. She became a person who steals money.
 Uploaded People called her Kissin’ Kate Barlow because she wore lipstick. She kissed people she robbed on the forehead.
 Uploaded Some people think Kissin’ Kate Barlow buried treasure at Camp Green Lake a long time ago.
 Uploaded The Warden comes. She tells Stanley he has to dig his own hole. He can not teach Zero to read.
 Uploaded Zero is mad. Zero says he does not like digging holes. Zero runs away!
