Uploaded This book was written by Chris Grabenstein. It is about Mr. Lemincello, a rich man who makes games and puzzles.
Uploaded The library was amazing! It had lots of books and video screens. Sometimes the ceiling looked like the sky at night.
Uploaded “Who is ready for our first game?” said Dr. Z.
Uploaded Tonight’s first prize is this gold key. It unlocks the door to a special room with a large TV screen and video games.
Uploaded Charles Chiltington won the first game! He will spend the night in a fun room with video games.
Uploaded Charles is not a good sport. When he wins, he tells the others “get used to it.”
Uploaded Dr Z. introduced Mrs. Tobin. She was the librarian when Mr. Lemincello was a boy.
Uploaded Mrs. Tobin isn’t real. She is like a person in a video game. She can help answer questions for the players.
Uploaded The winners had to give Dr. Z. their cell phones. What? They could not use their cell phones to help them with this contest.
Uploaded Sierra found out a magical elevator without walls would take her up to the top of the bookshelf.
Uploaded The kids stayed up most of the night playing games, listening to music and watching movies. It was fun but they were tired.
Uploaded The next morning the contest was over. The kids were surprised to see that they could not open the door. It was still locked!
Uploaded Dr. Z. told the parents that there was another contest. The kids can stay or leave. If they stay, it will be lots of fun!
Uploaded Who will decide to stay in the library for the next game?
