 Uploaded This book was written a long time ago by L.M. Montgomery. It takes place on a farm called Green Gables.
 Uploaded Anne was a girl with red hair. She didn't have a place to live. She wanted a home and family of her own.
 Uploaded Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert were a brother and sister who lived at Green Gables.
 Uploaded Marilla tells her friend, Mrs. Rachel Lynde, that a boy is coming to live at Green Gables.
 Uploaded Matthew took the horse and buggy to the train station. He went to get the boy who is coming to live with them.
 Uploaded Matthew is at the station. But where is the boy? He sees a girl. She said her name is Anne. It has an "e" on the end.
 Uploaded Matthew and Marilla thought a boy was coming. They were surprised when Anne came instead!
 Uploaded They wanted a boy to help with work on their farm. Should they let Anne stay?
 Uploaded Matthew says yes! Let Anne stay. Marilla is not sure. She says maybe.
 Uploaded Anne wants to stay. She likes Green Gables! She likes to talk! But she DOES NOT LIKE her red hair.
 Uploaded Before she came to Green Gables Anne lived with another family. She helped take care of their children.
 Uploaded The lady who lived in that house was not nice to Anne. Anne did not like living there.
 Flickr Will Anne get to stay with Matthew and Marilla? Will she get to stay at Green Gables?
