 Flickr The winter was long. Omakaya’s family had run out of food. They were weak and tired from hunger.
 Flickr Omakayas dreamed of a bear woman one night. The spirit told her she would always help Omakayas.
 Flickr Soon, Deydey won food in a chess game. Andeg found a cache of nuts. It helped but the family was still hungry.
 Flickr Nokomis had a dream that Deydey would find a buck and he did!
 Flickr Everyone, especially Omakayas, was relieved and happy to eat Yellow Kettle’s venison stew.
