Flickr About The Birchbark House: Chapter 5
Flickr By fall, things have begun to change. People come to Deydey's fire to talk about the changes.
Flickr Omakayas and her sister, Angeline, listen very carefully as the men talk.
Flickr The men talk about white people settling on their land. They talk about moving out west.
Flickr Some people, like Angeline, want to go to school to learn the ways of white people.
Flickr Omakayas is worried. She has many questions about all of this talk but she is afraid to ask.
